Prozac Side Effects

Prozac can have side effects and cause allergic reaction. You should seek for urgent medical help if you notice the following symptoms of allergic reaction: swelling of throat, face, lips or tongue; rash on the skin or when your breathing is heavy. Call your doctor immediately if these physical symptoms are aggravated by increased feeling of panic, irritation, hyper activeness, anxiety, rapid behavior changes or suicidal thoughts.

Basic side effects of Prozac include:

  • Decrease in sex attraction, anorgasmy, inability to maintain erection;
  • Convulsions;
  • Changes in appetite, diarrhea or nausea;
  • Headache, running nose, sore throat and other typical symptoms of flu;
  • Red skin rash;
  • Increased sweetening, irregular heartbeat, increased breathing rate;
  • Total physical weakness and dizziness, fainting;
  • Dry mouth;
  • Coordination and balance problems;
  • Twitching or stiffness of muscles.
These are possible side effects and it is possible you may have none. However it is necessary to visit your doctor regularly during some first weeks of treatment to avoid or decrease Prozac side effects.
