The genetic name of this medication is Paroxetine( pa ROX a teen) and it’s world known brand names are Paxil, Paxil CR, Pexeva. Peaxil is an antidepressant belonging to the group of selective serotonine reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Commonly Paxil is prescribed to cure depression, symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic symptoms and premenstrual dyphoric disorder. In some cases Paxil can be taken for the purposes other than mentioned in the instruction label. Before starting taking any antidepressant medication you must let your doctor examine you and give you strict recommendations as your treatment should be totally under doctor’s control.
